With effect from June 1, 2008, the National Land Survey of Sweden will be responsible for land registration matters. If you have any questions regarding title registration or the property register please contact the National Land Survey. Cancellation of documents

Matters related to cancellation of mortgage deeds or mortgages that have been lost, classified as cancellation matters, remain the responsibility of the district courts. Contact the district court responsible for your property:

• Norrtälje District Court
• Mora District Court
• Ångermanland District Court
• Skellefteå District Court

Documents from the archives

Archive documents kept by the seven land registration authorities have been transferred to the Archives Authority. This means that all land registration matters in which a decision was reached prior to May 31, 2008 are available at the Regional Archives in Härnösand, from where copies can be ordered.
